Are you ‘Cooking smart’?

Most people think all you need for kitchen appliances is a stove and a few pans, and
then you are set to cook! Let’s be honest though, cooking takes time, and constantly making sure that you’re not burning the house down is a hassle.

There are a few appliances, though, that make life easier, and create less worry in the kitchen.
1. Crockpot

A crockpot definitely is a must-have when you have limited time. Crockpots can slow cook a meal- all you have to do is turn it on and wait! There is no time spent on frying or boiling anything when you get home in time for dinner. Another bonus is that there are so many recipes dedicated for crockpots- just check Pinterest! Putting your desired recipe in your crockpot in the morning ensures an easy, worry-free day at work while your meal cooks. Crock pots can be found for relatively inexpensive prices- starting around $20, depending on the size.

2. Rice Maker

Most people might think there is no need for a rice maker, because it can
always be made on the stove. However, the sticky clean-up that sometimes requires soaking and scraping is a hassle. The rice maker completely eliminates that. All rice makers require is a little bit of time, water, and the rice- then everything is cooked to
perfection. The rice maker is another gadget that doesn’t require constant attention- it will just beep when it’s done! It even keeps the rice on a warmer after it cooks, to make sure the rice will still be hot if you want seconds.

3. Toaster oven

This appliance is amazing because it has many purposes. Not only can it toast your bread, but can also cook frozen pizza, burritos, paninis and more!
It’s smaller than an oven, but most have the same powerful heat capacity. Toaster ovens create a ‘crispiness’ effect on heated up leftovers, instead of the soggy mush that sometimes happens when popping your food into the microwave. The appliance also comes with a window, which makes it easy to check on the food to make sure it isn’t burning.

These a just a few appliances that help make cooking dinner easier and time effective
so there can be a few extra minutes to sit and relax. Let’s be serious, we all need
those few extra moments.
